Hippo Lounge was born from a simple conviction: that the best bread cannot be rushed. In a neighborhood that values community over convenience, we built a bakery around something increasingly rare — patience.

Every morning, our bakers arrive before dawn to mix, fold, and shape each loaf by hand. We use locally sourced flour, natural starters, and the kind of long, slow fermentation that gives bread its depth of flavor and unmistakable crust.
